Job Description

Responsible for leading, providing direction, and supervising a team of production personnel in order to meet or exceed safety, quality, customer experience and cost control objectives. Actively supports and provides feedback to manufacturing personnel to ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and best practices. Schedules necessary staff to meet schedule demands and directly performs in a hands-on production job function as required. Pay range $70,000 - $80,000

What You Will Do:
Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure safety compliance in the assigned area and in accordance with company requirements and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance programs including physically checking production and assisting with machine set-ups.
  • Consistently lead teams and engage in hands-on production work as required to meet production and/or shipping goals to meet or exceed customer demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels necessary to complete production schedules and report discrepancies and additional requirements as necessary.
  • Direct, assist and evaluate team members on both daily and long term requirements and goals.
  • Operate production equipment as necessary due to demand and or scheduling needs.
  • Prioritize issues, analyze situations and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Provide work flow management, planning, analysis, and training necessary to operate department in a clean, safe and productive manner.
  • Review and approve employee time and schedules, including overtime management.
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required; Associates Degree preferred
  • 1-2 Years of experience managing/leading a team, hands-on in a manufacturing environment required
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using an ERP system; great attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on business need


Physical Demands
This role is primarily performed in a factory and is exposed to the temperature changes. This will result in being exposed to noise, vibration, chemicals/fumes and navigate around factory machines. A portion of this role will be performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
