Position Summary

An English Trainer II – Business English is an experienced training professional who designs and delivers practical, business-focused English programs for adult learners and corporate clients. The role focuses on strengthening workplace communication skills—including presentations, meetings, negotiations, and business writing—while ensuring high instructional quality and strong learner outcomes.

The English Trainer II operates as an independent classroom practitioner, applies standardized quality frameworks, and actively contributes to curriculum adaptation, learner assessment, and team collaboration. While not owning systems or strategies, this role plays a key execution and quality-contribution function within the training team.

Key Responsibilities

I. Business English Training Delivery & Learner Outcomes

  • Deliver high-quality Business English training sessions aligned with approved curricula and learning outcomes

  • Facilitate skills-based training in professional communication areas such as:

  • Business correspondence (emails, reports)

  • Presentations and public speaking

  • Meetings, negotiations, and discussions

  • Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, practical, and learner-centered sessions

II. Learner Assessment & Progress Tracking

  • ·Assess learners’ English proficiency levels using approved assessment tools

  • ·Monitor learner progress and adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse professional needs

  • ·Provide clear, actionable, and timely feedback to support learner improvement

  • ·Ensure consistent learning outcomes across assigned classes

III. Curriculum & Materials Support

  • ·Adapt lesson plans and materials to suit industry-specific contexts (e.g. construction, architecture, international business)

  • ·Contribute teaching ideas, activities, case studies, and assessments to shared resources

  • ·Support piloting and refinement of new content under Leadership team guidance

IV. Instructional Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • ·Apply standardized observation tools and instructional quality frameworks

  • ·Participate in peer observations and reflective improvement cycles

  • ·Implement feedback from observations to enhance instructional effectiveness and learner impact

V. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration, Professional Growth

  • ·Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g. training teams, client-facing units) to align learning objectives with business needs, and communicate training progress, learner outcomes, and classroom insights professionally and accurately.

  • ·Support team collaboration through peer modeling, knowledge sharing, and participation in onboarding, internal training, calibration, and continuous professional development activities.

  • ·Continuously develop pedagogical, facilitation, and business communication expertise to maintain instructional effectiveness and professional standards.

VI. Other Assigned Tasks

  • Execute additional responsibilities aligned with department priorities as assigned by line managers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, Communication, or a related field

  • TESOL / CELTA / Business English certification is a strong advantage

Experience

  • 3–5 years of English teaching or training experience, preferably in corporate or professional settings

  • Proven experience delivering Business English or workplace communication training

  • Experience working with adult learners and professional audiences

Technical and Digital Skills

  • Proficiency in teaching tools and digital platforms (e.g. LMS, Zoom, MS Office, Google Workspace)

  • Ability to use virtual and blended learning tools effectively

Language Proficiency

  • Native-level or near-native English proficiency at CEFR C1 level or higher (or equivalent)

  • Strong spoken and written communication skills suitable for professional and corporate contexts

Business & Professional Skills

  • Solid understanding of workplace communication, business etiquette, and cross-cultural communication

  • Ability to contextualize language learning for real-world professional scenarios.
