Job Responsibilities & Requirements
The Assembler will be responsible to assemble machines, equipment, and their sub-assemblies using Lean and 5S methodologies and by following blueprints, schematics, and other work instructions and other written and verbal specifications.
Responsibilities
Perform minor layout work, drilling, and tapping
Remove small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts
Aligns components, and bolts, screws, and rivets them together
Assemble sub-assemblies per drawing and/or work instructions with supervision
Maintain clean and organized work area
Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes but is not limited to the ability to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift
Qualifications
High School/GED required
1-2 Years Experience in manufacturing or job shop environment preferred
Able to perform mathematical skills such as calculating proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume and able to apply concepts of basic geometry
Ability to read and understand prints and schematics
Ability to use small hand-power tools, including reading a tape measure with 1/32-inch increments
Able to use Microsoft Office Applications
Soft Skills
Computer Skills: Windows Operating Systems
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to read a tape measurer. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Time Management: Completing a job within the requested time frame
This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing
Additional Requirements - Physical Demands: This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk up stairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing.
