What You Will Do:Responsibilities
- Serve as Cloud Technical Support escalation point for the Cloud Engineer I and II team members.
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions.
- Lead performance engineering initiatives to optimize cloud-based applications for maximum efficiency.
- Implement advanced monitoring and analytics solutions for performance analysis while providing expertise in capacity planning and resource optimization.
- Design and implement advanced architectures for cloud environments.
- Lead cloud governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Conduct regular configuration assessments and drive continuous improvement in cloud security postures.
- Design and implement advanced security architectures for cloud environments.
- Lead security governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Conduct regular security assessments and drive continuous improvement in security postures.
- Assist with cloud roadmap iterations.
- Develop and implement advanced automation and orchestration solutions for complex workflows.
- Drive the adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices. Collaborate with development teams to streamline the CI/CD pipeline.
- Mentor and guide Cloud Engineer II and junior team members. Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives involving multiple teams.
- Design and implement robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Conduct regular drills and simulations to validate the effectiveness of recovery procedures. Provide guidance on risk mitigation and contingency planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Related Field required
- 4+ Years of experience designing and support Azure environments, including IaaS and PaaS required
- 6+ Years of experience with direct or indirect problem determination and resolution required
- Proficient with PowerShell, Azure CLI, JSON, or other scripting languages. required
- 4+ Years of experience deploying Azure resources using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using one or more tools such as Terraform, Azure Blueprints, or ARM templates required
- 4+ Years of experience with managing source control and work items in DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise required
- 4+ Years of experience with securing Azure environments using Azure Policy, Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud required
- 4+ Years of experience with Azure Entra ID required
- 4+ Years of experience with Azure Cloud networking required
- Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
- Able to use Microsoft Office Applications
- Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) - Microsoft Certified required
- Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate - Microsoft AZ-104 required
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) - Microsoft Certified preferred
- Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) - Microsoft Certified preferred
Additional Requirements- 10% of time traveling and may require overnight stays.
