MiTek is seeking an early career Data Scientist I who will design, develop, optimize, deploy, and sustain traditional machine learning and deep learning algorithms, models, and internal end user products. In addition to partnering with other MiTek Data and Analytics team members, this individual will work closely with key functional partners across the enterprise to transpose business priorities into technical solutions.Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Develop novel data science techniques for modeling and algorithm development
Create visual user interfaces in the form of mockups, Microsoft Power BI, or custom applications to business stakeholders
Experience in the areas of forecasting, customer segmentation, churn prediction, product recommendation systems, and operational optimization
Prioritize and execute multiple projects at a time, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
Interact with customers and cross-functional departments to understand project needs and requirements, collect data sets, and convert the business requirements into technical specifications
Core Experience & Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a related field required
Experience in computer vision, natural language processing, traditional machine learning, statistical analysis, or related domains required
Proficiency in Python, Restful APIs, SQL, R, or similar-to frameworks required
A strong desire for curiosity, problem solving, and self-starting attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Microsoft technology stack preferred
Cross domain knowledge and awareness within the space of Data and Analytics a plus (data engineering, architecture, dashboard development, application development)
