Job Description
At MiTek, we are at the forefront of revolutionizing the construction industry through off-site construction. Our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and efficiency drives us to enable builders to construct high-quality, eco-friendly buildings more quickly and cost-effectively than traditional construction methods. Join us in shaping the future of construction.Job Responsibilities & Requirements
A Brief Overview
This role blends construction expertise with data fluency to support the development of systems that will enable modular construction at scale. The ideal candidate will have a strong construction background and strong knowledge and passion for data-driven and systems-thinking approaches. Experience with modular construction is a plus but not required.
This role will work across disciplines to define and codify modular construction workflows, ensuring that digital tools, systems, and datasets are built with modularity, repeatability, scalability, and field practicality in mind. This is a strategic role focused on building the data infrastructure and governance needed to support modular construction from design through manufacturing and field implementation.
This is not a traditional data analyst role. While data fluency is critical, the primary focus is not on generating charts or running isolated analyses. Instead, we’re looking for someone who understands construction deeply and can architect the data structures, workflows, and governance needed to support construction at scale. This role involves defining how data flows through the system, ensuring its reliability, and bridging operational expertise with technical implementation—not just interpreting data, but shaping the systems that underpin it.
Responsibilities:
Data System Integration: Collaborate with design, implementation, and technical teams to facilitate a unified system that supports modular workflows and data exchange
Ensure data accuracy and consistency to effectively perform distributed construction operations in projects and across multiple projects
Modular Workflow Codification: Work with implementation teams to translate field practices into structured, system-ready processes.
Data Management & Governance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive data dictionary and schema that supports modular construction. Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms.
Process Optimization: Analyze data across projects to identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and efficiency.
Implementation Support: Work with technical and implementation teams to ensure systems are built with modular construction principles in mind.
Reporting & Insights: Create dashboards and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.
Consulting: Use construction expertise to advise on the practical application of data insights, enhancing project planning, execution, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in construction is required, with a strong understanding of modular or offsite construction methods preferred but not mandatory.
Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau/Power BI, SQL) and construction management software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
Deep understanding of construction processes, materials, and market trends, with an emphasis on modular construction techniques.
Ability to translate field construction practices into digital systems.
Value Engineering: Collaborate with project teams to recommend value engineering options that optimize costs while maintaining design integrity and sustainability goals.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data and findings clearly to diverse audiences.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Technical Collaboration: strong collaboration skills to work effectively with technical teams in implementing data schema, data governance, and software requirements.
MiTek Perks:
Generous time off including Paid Time Off, 13 annual holidays, and volunteer time off
Day One Medical/Rx, Dental and Vision Plans
Family friendly benefits including Paid Caregiver Leave, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Reimbursement
Performance/Incentive bonuses
Career advancement, training opportunities, Employee Resource Groups, and tuition reimbursement
