A Brief Overview
Responsible for building, wiring, and testing of electrical control panels and systems. Will work in manufacturing and production environments, assembling components according to technical specifications and schematics. This role is crucial for ensuring the proper and safe function of electrical systems in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
Ability to read and interpret technical documents accurately.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine component placement and wiring routes.
Mount and install a variety of electrical and electronic components, such as circuit breakers, switches, transformers, relays, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), onto an enclosure.
Perform detailed wiring and cabling, cutting, stripping, and crimping wires to ensure secure and correct connections.
Manage wire routing and bundling for a neat and organized panel.
Conduct tests and inspections to ensure the panel functions correctly.
Meet quality standards and safety regulations (e.g., UL).
Must have ability to also troubleshoot and diagnose issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized equipment like multimeters, wire strippers, and crimpers.
Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma or GED is required
Safety Consciousness: Knowledge of and adherence to safety protocols and standards are crucial, as the job involves working with electricity and power tools.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of electrical systems, components, circuits, and assembly techniques. The ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Attention to Detail: Must have excellent manual dexterity and a keen eye for detail to ensure components are correctly placed and wired.
Problem-Solving: The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the assembly and testing process.

Physical Demands
This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk up stairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing.
