Job Description
Perform engineering duties in planning, manufacturing process in areas of machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, mechanical and electrical assembly. Design tooling to be used in the manufacturing process. Oversee and review existing manufacturing processes for ways to save cost and improve process flow.Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, hydraulic and electrical schematics and computer-generated reports
Confer with engineering and other personnel to implement operating procedures.
Review engineering changes, update product structures, routing, master comments and item master.
Review new engineering designs and suggest changes to reduce manufacturing cost. Create routings, check product structures and item master.
Review routing standards for accuracy and update by performing time studies or by reviewing work order history on a monthly schedule.
Provide cost estimates, capability estimates and production recommendations for new products.
Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
Skills & Abilities
Education: Bachelors preferred
Experience: 2-5 Years Related Experience
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office
Other Requirements: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.
