Job Description
The Marketing and Business Executive will be responsible for developing and executing the marketing communication strategy, generating leads, increasing revenue, and expanding market presence for MiTek’s Mezzanine Systems Division across the UK and European territories.
Working with the Sales Director, you will deliver the strategy at a local level. This includes, but is not limited to, designing and developing product brochures and customer-facing materials, product presentations, press releases, original website content, email-based communications, and social media. All activities will be aligned with the corporate goals and objectives. This role combines strategic marketing planning with proactive business development initiatives to identify new growth opportunities, partnerships, and client relationships.

What You Will Do:
Responsibilities
- Work with the Sales Director and the Managing Director, to help reach the company's marketing goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement the marketing strategy for the mezzanine UK and EU division that supports the mezzanine business strategy
- Develop and execute territorial marketing plans, campaigns, events and initiatives, through the use of social media, branding and/or traditional marketing mediums.
- Website and Social media management including content production, scheduling, organic & paid adverts and reputation management. Create promotional materials, including brochures, blogs, marketing copy, and so forth for each local territory.
- Source, negotiate and liaise with relevant marketing agencies and other suppliers
- Creation of engaging emails and workflows using Mail Chimp or similar platforms
- Research market trends, demographics, pricing strategies, and other relevant information that helps managers and directors develop marketing plans, this includes monthly reporting on key metrics.
- Assist sales teams in the UK and Europe in maintaining client relationships through calls or visits to clients as required.
- Overseeing the company’s marketing budget.
- Work alongside sales team members to begin development of in-house Mnet based CRM system, coordinating with Mnet Development team.
- Ensure confidentiality of client information and website functionality is in line with GDPR.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications.
- Co-ordinate promotional events such as trade shows/exhibitions, liaising with 3rd party contractors and suppliers, and attend major events and exhibitions
- Liaise with industry associations
- Assist and manage the workload/priorities of the Sales & Marketing Admin
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Lead proposal development and presentations
Create and manage sales pipelines and forecasting reports.
Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to promote the company.
Collaborate with the sales team to develop lead generation strategies.
Align marketing campaigns with revenue targets and sales objectives.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and revenue growth.
Ensure cross-department collaboration for successful project execution
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or Business or QBE
- Computer literate – exceptional skills in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, or similar design packages
- Experience with HTMS coding and working on a variety of CMS systems and online marketing software
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing
Experience and Skills
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar full mix marketing role, ideally within the construction/steelwork or engineering industry
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal direct supervision
- Resides within 10 miles of West Malling
- A commercial mindset is pivotal to the role
- Experience in digital marketing
- Very good copywriting and proofreading skills
- Proven excellent negotiation and budget management skills
- Demonstrable skills in organising projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience in compiling reports, presentations, and business documents with a business purpose in mind
- Experience in go-to-market product launches
- Ability to conduct market analysis and analyse data
- Experience with company rebranding projects is advantageous

This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone, and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role.
