Job Description

As a Production Supervisor you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a keen eye for process improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

· Must be detail oriented.

· Willing to change and can adapt to different roles – Flexibility.

· Must be able to quickly think and react, as issues arise on the continuous production line

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

· Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement

· Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control procedures

· Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office

· Education - High School Diploma or GED.

· Experience – 6 months minimum in manufacturing or production type supervisor role, required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Lead and direct safety program in accordance with company requirements

· Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production targets and deadlines

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives

· Lead, train, and motivate production team members to achieve high levels of safety, quality, and production

· Foster a positive and safety-focused work culture, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations

· Manage production schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate manpower to meet production goals

· Communicate effectively with production team members, management, and other departments to facilitate a smooth operation

· Report on KPI’s, production metrics, and any issues effecting production efficiency

· Maintain quality programs to assure conforming product

· Conduct associate disciplinary action as required

· Proficient at all production worker job positions

· Strive to keep raw material and product waste to a minimum.

· Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential requirement. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to work overtime as required, willingness to work different shifts, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the workstation ready for work at the start of the shift.

Other Physical Requirements

Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

· While performing the duties of this job, the Production Supervisor may be exposed to the following: moving mechanical parts, moving product parts, vibration, moving forklifts, noise levels requiring hearing protection.

· Exposure to environment; heat and humidity, cold, wet conditions, and outside covered weather conditions.
