A Brief Overview
Manage and support large wholesale distributors who sell Structural Connector and Hardy Frame product lines into the Lumber and Building Material (LBM) dealer channel. Collaborate with distributors and internal stakeholders to ensure our company is appropriately positioned across the residential construction supply chain to optimize sales and market presence. This role collaborates with specifiers, homebuilders, contractors, LBM dealers, and code officials.
Responsibilities
Important leader and/or contributor to broad based “improvement” projects, including change management and digital transformation within the sales function
Has the ability to independently interpret data and advanced analytics to formulate solutions on behalf of customers and/or the business, including strategic planning and market expansion
Provide support for multiple organizational objectives and/or regions
Collaborates and coordinates across all MiTek commercial activities—Corporate and Regional CM sales, Design Engagement, Multi-Family, Homebuilder, Marketing etc. to drive sales and revenue growth.
Independently coordinates complex customer engagements involving multiple MiTek functions and external parties
Accountable for developing and executing a sales plan with specific and measurable sales objectives, including market share growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction
Manage strategic partnerships and high-stakes negotiations
Lead distributor training and align distributors with appropriate internal company resources to meet customer service goals
Work closely with distributors to identify and close applicable LBM dealer account opportunities within district
Proactively engage with distributors and customers of distributors to understand customer needs and how to support them.
Contact and educate engineers and other design professionals, builders, framers and building officials within the residential and commercial markets to ensure builders products are accepted and specified throughout the district
Maintain current and accurate customer account records, leads, and opportunities in Salesforce
Cultivate multi-level networks within the regional residential supply chain to favorably influence the sales cycle
Resolve channel conflict to support distributors and improve customer satisfaction
Act as the company’s representative externally through active participation in industry associations
Qualifications
Bachelors Related Field required
Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
5+ Years experience working for or with Distribution preferred
7+ Years experience in the residential and/or commercial construction industry required
Must possess depth and breadth of expertise relevant to the Sales discipline
Experience in a specification driven industry preferred
Able to use Microsoft Office Applications

Must demonstrate the ability to address challenges proactively, find innovative solutions, and resolve channel conflicts to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
Additional Requirements
Valid drivers' license and proof of auto insurance required.
70% Travel required 2-3 weeks per month within the district. Other trips outside of the district as needed/required.
Physical Demands
This role is performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. This role may need to access areas within the building that are undergoing renovations which may contain jobsite hazards. Occasionally this role will required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.
