Works in Tool Room assisting in machining of parts from blueprint/sketch, works with tooling as required in teardown, repair, and assembly. 

What You Will Do:

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge in use of all machine tools and measuring instruments.
  • Machining of new parts, repair of used parts to original specifications.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Maintain die maintenance records as required.
  • Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty.  This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.


Skills and Responsibilities

  • High School/GED required, accredited Machinist School graduate (Journeyman certification), and/or
  • 5+ Years of machining experience and/or training, or
  • equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Stamping die experience required.


Soft Skills

  • Basic knowledge of tooling nomenclature
  • Ability to use equipment and apply measuring skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Strong attention to detail

    Physical Demands
    This is a physical position that requires the individual to be able to: stand, walk and carry up to 50 lbs., push/pull, climb, walk upstairs and crouch. This position requires the individual to be able to communicate through speaking and hearing.
