Tool & Die Sharpener - Dayshift - Full-time

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

\. Check and service dies. Check and adjust clearances as required, sharpen cutting edges, maintain proper levels of die section and check for needed repair.

2. Assist in the repair of broken dies as assigned; disassemble, replace parts and reassemble them.

3. Assist in the servicing of department machinery and perform housekeeping duties to maintain work areas.

4. Follow all MiTek safety rules and regulations.

5. Perform other duties in the Tool & Die Department or other areas as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1.    High school diploma or GED equivalent or vocational school training.
2.    Ability to read and write English.
3.    General knowledge of tool and die construction and repair including vocational school training or equivalent experience desirable.
4.    Basic knowledge of metal properties and machining techniques.
5.    Ability to develop skill in the operation of metal working equipment.
6.    Ability to read sketches and blueprints and some knowledge of shop math.
7.    Strong mechanical ability and good dexterity with hand tools.

Hourly wage range for this position is $23 - $27
